Lighting the Tree
December 1st was 'National Tree Lighting Day'.

Let's Try that Again
I wasn't happy with the photos, and reworked the entire set. I also didn't much like the huge plug, so took the photos again using a computer cord with a much smaller plug....

the Choir
The children's class had been rehearsing for the upcoming Christmas concert....
Effie, who had been taking singing lessons from an opera star, got to sing a solo....
Aki was having a bit of difficulty with her bells........
Apples and Pie
December 1st was 'National Pie Day', and also 'Eat a Red Apple Day'....
"How come you get pie, while I get the apple?"
"Okay..... you take this slice...."
"...and I'll cut myself a new one...."
"...and then we'll both have pie."
Cookies
December 4th is 'National Cookie Day', and Byuri had been busy baking...
She loved baking and decorating cookies....
She offered some to her friends....
"This one is delicious!"
Erin took a couple to try....

Mitten Tree
December 6th was 'Mitten Tree Day', so Aaran and Byuri gathered every mitten they could find, and took them outside to put on a little spruce tree....
Cotton Candy
December 7th was 'National Cotton Candy Day'. Lonnie and Holly were out doing a bit of Christmas shopping, so decided to treat themselves to some....
Christmas Cards
December 9th was also 'National Christmas Card Day'. Lisa and Nyssa were putting the newest cards up on the fireplace mantle....
Lisa was up on the sofa so she could reach the mantle....
...while Nyssa passed her the cards....
Their baby sister was busy opening all the day's new arrivals.....
"What's she doing?"
"She loves the card with the little girl...."
