Happy New Year!

Manny Mouse was only too happy to usher in the new year while nice and cozy in his matchbox bed reading and enjoying some treats as the snow swirled outside his window...

Even though he had no idea what the future might bring...

.... it definitely promised to be an interesting year.

And he was hoping it would be a good one.

Gingerbread Village

The mice and chipmunks were busy decorating the town's annual gingerbread village...

The menfolk weren't exactly the neatest when it came to applying the icing mortar....

..but the candy decorations would hide it all....

A Bubble Bath

January 8th was National Bubble Bath Day,

and Muffy Mouse was treating herself to a luxurious bath.

..while enjoying the view out the window...

This was the life!

Mannie Mouse was working as pastry chef preparing desserts for a big Holiday gala....

Happy Valentine's Day!

Manny and Muffy had been married for many years, but they still had that romantic spark, especially on Valentine's Day, and they both went all out...

"Happy Valentine's Day sweetheart!"

"Thank you. And a Happy Valentine's Day to you too."

"I love the flowers, and these are my most favourite chocolates in all the world!"

They leaned in close...

"I love you."

"Happy Valentine's Day!"

Shelter from the Storm

Muffy and Maisie were on their way home from shopping, when it started to snow again...

..so they took shelter under a large mushroom...

They stood there for a little while.

"I don't think the snow is going to let up.."

"We should probably head for home before it gets any worse."

Almonds

February 16th was National Almond Day, and Chip and Joanne were busy grinding almonds to fill an order for almond flour...

They supplied a couple of gluten-free bakeries with their almond flour...

...and it kept them quite busy.

"There has to be an easier way to do this."

Thankfully their friends Muffy and Manny often came to help....

Muffy would pass the almonds to Chip...

While Manny would take away the finished bags of flour...

...after Jo had filled them...

With a little help from their friends, the order would be filled in no time....

Barbecue in the Snow

There's nothing guys love more than to barbecue...regardless of the weather.....

Hauling Firewood

It had been an unusually long, cold, snowy winter, and the mice were in need of some more firewood. So Manny and Max headed out to get some...

They knew where some branches had fallen during the last storm, and started cutting them up..

"I think that will be enough for now."

So they finished loading the sled

and started for home...

But Max wasn't getting anywhere. The load was too heavy.

Manny had been in the rear keeping an eye on the precarious load.
"Looks like a two mouse job. I better come help."

So he did a final check of the load...

..and joined Max up front to help pull the sled.

And off they went...

Winter Fun

It was a nice winter day, and the little forest friends were out enjoying the snow.
