Dressing the Forest Dwellers
My little Forest Dweller characters by Whispering Grass have been naked for years....
...and it was finally time to make them all something to wear.....
Getting Measured
Muffy was a seamstress, so I thought it would be fun to make a story out of the making of the new outfits.
Muffy was going to be very busy sewing clothes for everyone, so decided to do the lady's outfits first. They all came to get measured....

Tiana was the first to get measured...
While Missy and Ginger watched...
...and Kitty admired herself in the mirror...
Then it was Ginger's turn...
'Do you think clothes will make us look fat?"
"I sure hope not."
"Well, 'fat' or not, I think it's high time we all stopped running around naked, and became more civilized..."
Busy Sewing
So Muffy set to work. She wanted to make everyone's pantaloons first....
They were all basically the same design, just different sizes....
She tried on her own pair to check the size....
"These are perfect."
the Fitting
When Muffy had finished all the pantaloons, everyone came over to try them on....
"These fit perfectly."
Meanwhile Ginger and Melody were choosing the fabric for their dress.
"I really like this one." "Me too."
"I really like this one." "Me too."
Muffy's Dress
With all the sewing for everyone else ahead of her, Muffy decided to make herself a dress first. Usually she'd be so busy with commissions that by the time she was done she'd be too tired to make herself anything, and she didn't want that to happen again.
She had chosen her favourite pale blue floral print for the dress, and was busy finishing the last bit of embroidery....
All done....
Muffy was very happy with how her dress had turned out...
Now to start on the other dresses....
More Tiny Dresses
Muffy was very busy with all the clothing commissions. After finishing her own dress, she tackled the next ones....
When she was finished, Missy and Melody came to try them on....
"You did a great job! These are beautiful!"
An Outfit for Tiana
Muffy continued to be busy with her sewing commissions. After the dress for herself and her two mouse friends, she started on a dress for Tiana, the Toad....
Tiana had wanted a dress with a lot of beading...
Tiana had also ordered a bonnet...
When Muffy was done, Tiana came over to try on her new dress...
"And here's your hat..."

"It makes me look like an old lady!"
Miss Kitty
Since Tiana wasn't too thrilled about looking like an old lady, Muffy took her dress apart and made some changes. She shortened the skirt and added a touch of lace peaking out the bottom.
"So what do you think now?"
"So what do you think now?"
But then Miss Kitty arrived to try on her new dress....
"The dress is beautiful....
"...and I especially love what you've done with the hat and shawl..."
"I love the entire ensemble..."
Tiana had been intently watching Kitty try on her new dress....
"This is the most gorgeous fabric that I've ever seen!!"
'Twins'
Tiana was so envious of Kitty's beautiful shawl...
"I really want one too! One just like it."
"I really want one too! One just like it."
Muffy had had a feeling this would happen, so was prepared....
"You're very lucky that there was enough fabric to make another shawl, just your size..."

"Yes! I'll take it!!"
"Now I'll look just like you!"
"We can be twins!'
"But...my hat doesn't have a feather! It needs a feather too!"
Kitty was starting to feel a little annoyed at Tiana's antics....
But Muffy was used to dealing with Tiana, and quickly added some feathers.
"Here you go...."
"That's perfect!!"
"Now we really are twins!"
"Two gorgeous twins!"
Final Touches
Ginger arrived to try on her new dress. She had asked for something simple and comfortable...
Muffy had knit her a shawl to compliment her dress.
"This is perfect! I love it!"
"This is perfect! I love it!"
Muffy also called her mouse friends back in....
She had made some tiny bonnets and embellished them to compliment their dresses...
...as well as one for herself...
So all the ladies were finally dressed....
And because Tiana had rejected her fichu, I gave it to Miss Kitty...
