Fantasy Everyday 2

A collection of small photo shoots with my Fantasy dolls...

Lily and the Peacocks

I finally took some photos with the peacock needlepoint that my sister did for me. She was working on it when I was shooting the Victorian pillow story, but it was a lot of work, and came too late. Plus I didn't really want it to be part of the Victorian pillow collection anyways. It was always meant to go in a blue 'peacock' room, with the blue velvet sofa my granddaughters gave me.

Anyways, I've had it for quite a while already, and haven't made it into a pillow yet, because I was waiting to photograph it as a needlepoint 'under construction' by someone. But who???  I chose Lily, since her skirt reminded me a little of 'peacock feathers'.....

"No Spells, Please!"

It was a warm day, and Mr. Ropuha was cooling off in the garden fountain....
Picture
...when who should come along, but Phairby, the little Fairy Godmother....
Picture
"Good morning!!"
Picture
"Good morning to you too! I hope you aren't here to cast a spell on me?"
Picture
"I don't think so....why???"
Picture
"Because I'm already married to a lovely toad, named Tiana, and I am quite honestly getting fed up with human Princesses trying to kiss me hoping that I'll turn into a Prince."
Picture
"So I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't cast a spell on me so that I'll turn into a Prince."
Picture
"Oh no, I wouldn't do that! I make it a policy not to mess with true love..."
Picture
"But if there is ever something I can help you with, just give me a call.
Have a nice day!"

Wille and Winston

Willie saw Winston up in the crabapple tree....

....and wanted to go up and join him. But she was unsure of how exactly to get up so high. So Winston came down to help her.
"Just hold my hand, and you'll be okay..."
Picture
Picture
"It's quite the view up here..."
Picture
"So this is what it's like to be a bird.......or you..."
Picture
"Do you want to go check out the other tree with the white blossoms?"
Picture
So Winston took her up into the white blossoms...
Picture
"Wow, it's so beautiful up here!"

the Blue Room

My granddaughters gave me their blue Victorian doll sofa for my birthday April, and I've wanted to feature it in a new 'blue' room, along with my sister's peacock painting and needlepoint pillow. The sofa had seen better days, so I made an extra seat cushion, and added padded arm rests, to make it a more inviting seat.

I finally decided to take some photos, and thought, who would fit into the new setting better than my Asa, Queen of the Night....
Picture
I had wanted a 'dark, moody' look, so waited until late in the day, with the sun hidden by clouds, and took the first photo, above. But then the sun came out and I had to draw the curtains, which are peach colour, and that cast peach lighting all over the scene, creating a different look....
Picture
Picture
I opened the curtains and the sun shone directly on Asa, creating another whole new look....
Picture
The contrast seemed a bit too harsh, even after I tried to deal with it in Photoshop, so I tried again after the sun disappeared.
She looked so 'lonely' sitting there all by herself, all gorgeous with nowhere to go, and decided she needed a friend..
..so went and got her one....
