the Fairy Queen

I made Miho a new gown, something to better portray her as a great and powerful Sorceress, and Queen of the Fairies.

I also made her a two-tone wig, in brown and purple, to compliment her gown...

I finished her wings just in time to present her in her complete new outfit on June 24th, International Fairy Day...

A Fairy Story

It was such a nice day, all the fairies gathered outside to hear Miho read them a story...

Checkmate

Every now and then I'll come across a posting on Facebook of what I consider to be a great painting of some fairytale scene. I save them for future reference hoping to someday recreate the scene with my dolls.  Such was the case with two separate images of Wizards playing chess with dragons. So I found some miniature chess men online and made a chess board, and waited until the time was right to put the scene together.

However this past weekend I felt inspired that instead of a Wizard, I would have Miho, my Sorceress and Fairy Queen, playing chess with Winston.....

I don't know much about chess, so googled 'checkmate moves' and printed out a sheet with six different scenarios. After all there's always someone who will know if I try fake where the chess men are on the board. Plus it makes it a lot easier for me to set up. I think Winston is winning....
