Eric's Birthday

Eric and Nyssa are twins, as they both arrived together on the same day late last summer.

Well, twins are always a challenge, since neither one wants to always be considered 'half a pair'.
So I decided to make both of them their own cakes, and throw them their own parties.
Eric loves animals, so I made him a cake covered with his favourite animals.

I got him to agree to dress up a bit for his party and pictures, but he insisted on wearing his hat.
Although I did mange to catch him without it when he was blowing out the candle....

There wasn't room to have all the little kids come to both parties, so we had to
make the difficult decision as to who should come to which party.

Nyssa's party was first, and she invited all the girls to her's. Later in the afternoon it was Eric's party.
He just invited his three best friends, but also invited Chloe.. He's had a small crush on her, ever since he first met her.
And of course Nyssa had to be there too

In addition to loving animals, Eric also loved trains.

So his friends all got him a new train car for his collection....

After opening the gifts, Eric went and brought in more of his trains.....

Coco and the girls admired the cake....

There were lots of snacks, but Eric was completely distracted....

"The elephant is my favourite!" said Chloe. "I really like the tiger!" added Coco.

Eric brought out his Thomas engines as well....

Nyssa and Chloe helped themselves to some treats...

"I'm so glad you are here, otherwise I'd be the only girl. I mean, I like trains and all,
but I can play with my brother's trains anytime, but we only get these great treats at parties...."

"This engine is broken at the front!"
