Dragon Adventures
When putting together the second dragon album, there were way too many photos to go into one book, so we made the decision to leave out all the photos of their two family trips - their fall adventure up north with the Avery twins, and the dragon family's trip out west - and put them into a third book about the family's adventures instead. So, this set of photos was taken as an introduction for the beginning of book three...
Getting Ready
It was autumn and the dragon lair was all a hustle and bustle as the dragons were getting ready for their first family trip.
Saphira had invited Avery and Emily to come along, but since they couldn't fly, she and Winston were putting the final touches on a hot air balloon...
The basket for the balloon was ready, and they were just adding some last minute decorations to the frame...
Meanwhile Nuri was testing one of the balloons.
..and the other two busied themselves packing their favourite stuffies.....

the Twins Arrive
The dragons were just about done, when Daisy and her twins arrived...
Avery and Emily were all packed, and ready to come along on the dragon's fall adventure.
'We are so happy that the two of you will be joining us." said Saphira
"'And it looks like you are all packed and ready to go." added Winston.
"We sure are!!"
Avery was only too eager to join his friends...
But Emily turned to give her Mom a hug...
"I'm going to miss you Mom."
"I'm going to miss you too, Sweetie. But I'm sure you're going have a wonderful time."

Saying Good-Bye
With everything packed in the balloon basket, Avery and Emily climbed in...
Daisy turned to Saphira....
"You will take good care of them, won't you?"
"Yes, of course. Just like they were my own."
"And you two be good, and listen to what Saphira says."
"Yes, Mom. We will."
"Well, good-bye then. I hope you have a really great time."
"And I'll see you when you get back"
