the Count and his Lady
Like most years, Halloween snuck up on me. I had wanted to sew some new costumes for the kids, but time just went by way too fast. And then suddenly the day was here. It just seemed way too much work to dress up all the kids again - for the umpteenth time - and since I had Baron and Naomi standing in my work space, I figured I'd dress them up for Halloween this time.
So he ended up in the Phantom's outfit, without the mask, and she put on Iris' Dark Fairy costume and a black wig. I had wanted to carve the little pumpkins, but they were hard as a rock and I couldn't even get our sharpest knife to make a dent. So forget that....

Miho's castle, from earlier that day, made the perfect setting for the elegant couple....
Then Winston came in. He needed a little help putting on his mask....
Out in the Garden
On Halloween I took Baron and Naomi out on the patio for what would likely be the final outdoor photo session with still a few flowers blooming in the background. The houseplants came in a month ago, and what's left out there is not looking very good anymore, with a killer frost expected any night now. But it was a nice day, so Baron and Naomi went out in their costumes....
But then Winston came.....
He was a little nervous about going out Trick-or-Treating....
"Do you think people will recognize me with my mask?"
"Do you think people will recognize me with my mask?"
"They might..."
"But that's okay..."
"The whole idea is to go and have some fun....
...and don't eat too much candy."
...and don't eat too much candy."
So off he went, leaving Baron and Naomi alone....
