After Saphira left with the kids, Narin and Winston began the odious task of cleaning up the trashed studio.

Winston started by gathering all the jars of paint....

...while Narin put the caps back onto the tubes of paint....

Once all the jars and tubes of paint, and all the rest of his art supplies had been picked up, Narin turned his attention to trying to save his painting...

...and Winston started scrubbing the workbench surfaces...

Winston was feeling awful. He and Narin had known each other for a long time, and he was feeling so embarrassed and sorry for what his kids had done.

"I think it's coming off."

"There...it's all off."

Winston let out a big sigh, "That's a huge relief..."

It looks like the paintings will be saved. I am sure that is a relief to all.

I am betting this was a fun photo shoot to create. I sure had fun reading it (smile).

Actually, these photos were a last second addition to the new Dragon Family Album. I'd started posting the story on the weekend with the photos I took back in November, when it hit me that the story didn't have a proper ending. So what to do? The book was all ready and waiting for a sale for the first printing.

So I spoke to my sister and she agreed the story could use a proper ending, and that the book could wait. So I had to scramble and put the set back up and create new little 'paint blotches' that looked as much like the ones in the original photos as possible. All with the story already started in my Blog. So it was a real rush job, with me taking photos that were needed that very day. Which is why the Blog posts were erratic and even skipped a day earlier this week.

Merci à Winston qui aide Narin à réparer les dégâts causés par ses enfants.
Il semble que Narin arrive à nettoyer le tableau de la famille dragon. Espérons qu'il pourra en faire autant sur le tableau du roi.
Mais quel travail pour préparer ces deux scènes, d'abord la pagaille dans l'atelier de Narin et ensuite la remise en état par Winston et Narin. Ce sont de très belles photos.

Thanks to Winston, who is helping Narin to repair the damage caused by his children.
It looks like Narin has managed to clean up the dragon family picture. Let's hope he can do the same for the King's painting.
But what a job to prepare these two scenes, first the mess in Narin's workshop and then the restoration by Winston and Narin. These are very beautiful photos.

Thank you! It was definitely a huge job. It was already the first time when I shot the first set of photos back in November. But then earlier this week I decided the story needed more to it, so I had to set everything up all over again, and make it look as close as possible to the photos taken back in November.

Narin is not only an excellent painter, he's a kind, good friend. He knows Winston well enough to imagine how bad he feels about the mess the children have made. He doesn't get angry or even act too upset, although he must have been a little of both.

The amount of work you had to put into this series of photos is amazing, but the results are great!

You've got to love that blue mustache on Lawrence 😄
