Sarah and her Beau

5/10/2026

Even though it was a very challenging Spring weather-wise this year to take photos with my favourite little blue flowers, I'm surprised by how many I did actually manage to take.  But we've finally come to the end.

This final set features my Sarah and Elliot Henri, both by SartoriaJ, taken between rain showers on a dark, cloudy day.

What a handsome couple. I love their outfits. Were they made just for them? I apologize if you mentioned this in a previous posting.

I love the sequence of the photos. They seem to tell a story on their own.

Sarah arrived over a year ago, and was the model for several gowns I made last Spring. The one she's wearing was my favourite, so I let her keep it. I ordered Elliot to be her beau, and he arrived in December. I made his outfit to compliment hers.

I've not done much with either of them yet - I have a LOT of dolls, and am getting spread a little thin - but wanted to at least take some photos of them in the scillas.

They are such a handsome couple. I'm glad you were able to take photos of them while the scillas were still so beautiful. That meadow is perfect as a romantic setting for young lovers to meet.

It's interesting how nice the lighting in the photos is on a dark rainy day. I would never have guessed that you had to squeeze the photo sessions in between rain showers. The photos are beautiful.

Thank you. I really like them, and had planned on them being a stand alone couple who could be 'costume models' for some of my other favourite periods that I've always wanted to make some costumes from. But stuff is constantly getting in the way, and who knows if my plans will ever materialize. So, it's a good thing I was at least able to photograph them in the scillas.

Doll photos always work best on overcast days. Bright sunshine, although we personally might love it, is terrible for doll photos.

They truly suit one another! I always enjoy how you match up your couples you do some lovely matchmaking. XD

(Been so busy with sickness and RL that I haven't left any comments but I still check your blog and enjoy seeing all your new photos!)

Thanks! I'm usually pretty good at ordering a love interest for one of my dolls. I only ever had it once where I had to try three times to find the right fit for someone.

That was Baron wasn't it! I remember following it on your archives— I love Grace with Jude and Naomi wound up perfect for him, third time's the charm. ;)

Yes, that was Baron. Although I don't know if it was really his fault. I personally never bonded with Raccoon Rosy, so sold her. And Grace just seemed too serious. Naomi was perfect for him.

Beautiful couple and costuming. Love these romantic photos, and the lovely flower field background.
