Lawrence and Monica arrived at the falls...

The falls were spectacular.

They'd never seen anything like it...

Monica sat down just to take it all in...

They made their way to the brink of the falls, where a rainbow rose from the mist

They were totally in awe...

I'm lucky to have been there once. Pretty amazing place. Your photos of the area are just wonderful and sparking happy memories.

The Falls are incredible, but the city is a total tourist trap. Thankfully they keep the actual falls and surrounding park area as 'natural' as possible.

I personally like going there in the winter when there's a lot of snow and ice, but this past winter was pretty much a 'non-winter', so we went in spring instead.

The Falls truly are incredible! You've taken some great shots!! You've made Lawrence and Monica look like they are alone at the Falls which is a feat in itself.

Standing near the brink of the Falls is an incredible experience. The sensation of their power as the water pours over the edge is tangible.

Thank you! It was a challenge to take photos where there weren't a lot of people. I couldn't very well have real people in the photos or the dolls would look like the dolls that they are. But I think the crowds were a bit less at 'dinner time', then when we drove by hours earlier.

It is a weird sensation standing right over the brink and watching all that water rush right below your feet. I do appreciate that Niagara Parks has left the original stone and metal railings as they are and not tried to make them, or replace them, with something 'safer'. People just need to use their common sense.

Oh my goodness, the photos are lovely! I am especially happy about seeing the rainbow.

How will the royal couple be able to explain all of these wonderful sights (and sites) to their children who live in a different realm? It is hard for me to even absorb how beautiful the Falls really are.

Niagara Falls is beautiful. My favourite time to go there is in the dead of winter when it's been really cold for a while. Then there's snow and ice everywhere.. The falls never freeze over, but everything on the Canadian side gets covered with ice from all the mist. Somehow it looks even moire magical in winter.

If it's sunny, then there's always a rainbow. The sun needs to be shining through the mist (which is always there) so it just depends on which direction one is viewing the falls.
