(and Americans think Texas is big)
We stopped at Kakabeka Falls near Thunder Bay.
I took over 1,400 photos and have processed a handful, and these are some of my favourites...
After four weeks away we are finally back home, and I'm able to post on my Blog again. We went right across the country, all the way to the Pacific and back again. We visited Butchart Gardens near Victoria... We spent lots of time in the Rockies... Which are always spectacular... I even managed to photograph a grizzly. There was a park ranger 'babysitting' him from his truck, making sure no one stopped, so I took the photo with my telephoto lens from a moving vehicle. After the Rockies, we headed across the Prairies, and finally ended up ahead of the storms.... Fields of canola were in bloom across Saskatchewan.... Then finally back into Ontario, and the final 2 1/2 days driving the 1,900 km back home. (and Americans think Texas is big) We stopped at Kakabeka Falls near Thunder Bay. Then we visited Neys Provincial Park, on Lake Superior... The trip was not a 'doll story' trip, like most of the other recent trips. I did take along a group of dolls with the intention of photographing additional scenes for a story I shot back in 2012. I hope to finally complete the story later this year and turn it into a book. I took over 1,400 photos and have processed a handful, and these are some of my favourites... Since I wasn't photographing an actual story, but just additional scenes for one, I also took along my dragon family for some fun photos.... Another of the key figures in the story is Byuri, as Little Beaver, a NW Coast native girl. And then there's Soa as Byuri when she's all grown up. I took photos of them with the dragons just for the fun of it... Anyways, now all the work begins, cleaning everything up after our trip, and getting to all the photos....and back to the stories I started before we left.....

Thanks. Jan loves looking out over the water, and we were at one of the wide beaches on the west coast of Vancouver Island with the tide coming back in.

Thanks! Well, I'm not going to be processing ALL those photos. I'd always take several of each scene so I'd get the perfect ones for the story whenever I put the whole thing together.

I can relate to the mobility issues due to age, but you still found some beautiful sites to photograph. Comments are closed.
