And now with it being the first of September, I get to turn the pages on my two 2024 calendars for a first look at the pictures I'll be looking at all month...
It's hard to believe that we've come to the end of summer already. Yesterday we went up to our son's cottage for a barbecue and to watch the fireworks he'd put together for his lakeside neighbourhood. As the sun went down he towed three rafts full of fireworks out into the lake and anchored them into place... Then at nine, he set them off remotely from shore... I only took a few photos, since I'd much rather enjoy the display with my own eyes as opposed to looking through my camera viewfinder. So there's no photos of the spectacular finale. And now with it being the first of September, I get to turn the pages on my two 2024 calendars for a first look at the pictures I'll be looking at all month... At my age time flies way too fast, so I really don't want to wish it away, but I'm personally glad summer is finally coming to a close. I much prefer autumn with the cooler weather, and beautiful fall colours. Now, if I could just get all the photos I took this summer processed!

It's always fun sharing time with your characters and being "part" of their stories. One is guaranteed to have a great adventure no matter the season or the weather! I especially love the last photo, a cozy afternoon tale.

The last photo is from 'Somewhere in Time', when Miho is telling Naomi about Lawrence as a child. It's the September page of this year's Stories calendar.

What a great way to mark the end of another summer! Fireworks out in the lake must have been a spectacular sight as well as a real treat for all your son's neighbors around the lake. Comments are closed.
