Just a few photos of my doll furniture collection along the wall of my basement photo studio. It first started out years ago as a single book case, but expanded over the years as my collection grew. The shelves house all my furniture and medium sized props. All the smaller props are stored in labeled boxes on the main floor. The corner shelves in the basement used to house toys for our kids, and then our grandkids, but most have moved on, and my doll furniture and horses are slowly taking over. I forgot to take a photo of the three other horses (the most often used ones), all the styrofoam castle pillars, and my collection of doll size carpets stored on an old dresser on the other side of the room. Oh, and there's boxes with picnic tables (3 sizes), bicycles, and lobster traps, and an OG car stored under the photography studio table.

You are so organized! All that shelving is such a great way to store props. It's really nice when props are out where you can see them. It's way too easy to forget what you have when it is tucked away out of sight (I speak from experience 😀)

Thanks. And even so I still sometimes have problems finding something.

It is very interesting to see your storage. I love your behind the scenes postings. Thank you so much for the insights. I can't remember if we‘ve seen the dapple-grey horse in your photos before?

Thanks. No, the grey and the two black horses have never appeared in any photos yet. I have to do some work on them first, but I had to take them when I saw them at Value Village a while back. I do have three other horses which get used most of the time (dark brown, reddish brown and cream/beige) and those are stored on the other side of the room, so aren't in the photos.

Fabulous to have a basement (or an attic). Without that there is a serious struggle for storage.

That's so true! Thankfully we have a big house, so there's lots of storage space. The basement used to have two bedrooms for our eldest two sons, but after they moved out the walls were removed, and our youngest son converted the space into a photo studio (which is why it's painted neutral gray)
