Family Portraits

2/12/2025

My doll collection has grown over the years, and there's way too many dolls for one large group photo, so I've decided to take photos of all the individual family groups and create a Family Portrait album in Favourite Photos 2025. I will start posting them here intermittently starting with the Fashion Size Fantasy Medieval families.

the Royal Family

Lawrence and Monica are the King and Queen in my Medieval Fantasy world. Lawrence was born a Prince, and fell in love with and married Monica, a beautiful young woman of noble birth.

They have four children...

Their children are (from the left) David, Nami, Ringo (the youngest), and Paige (the eldest).

All four children predated their parents in my collection, some by many years. Nami was my second BID and was a contemporary little girl for 7 years before becoming a Princess.  She was one of my favourite little girls, and the only one who wasn't already part of a family at the time when I was putting together the Royal Family. Ringo was a contemporary little boy for five years before his older brother David arrived. They were contemporary brothers for just over a year, before David was chosen to become a Prince. I didn't want to split the brothers up, so Ringo became a Prince as well. Last to join the group was Paige. She had also been a contemporary girl without a family of her own for a while before becoming a Princess.  The four of them have been together as Lawrence and Monica's children for five years now, and they make a wonderful family.

The only one of the children who has ventured out on their own since becoming part of the Royal Family is Nami who played the starring role of Princess Elora in A Christmas Story, along with both Lawrence and Monica, as her parents.

Even though Lawrence is a very busy King, running his kingdom, and tending to affairs of state, he will make time to spend with his children...

Thanks for creating a family photo gallery so we can remember the faces and names of all of the family members.

What a lovely royal family. I love that they are posed with the Christmas tree.

I figured it was about time to do a 'group' photo, but there's way too many dolls. Plus then they just get lost in the crowd. So I figured family groups would be best, so took all the photos last month when the castle interior was still decorated for Christmas.

I've decided to showcase just one family at a time, but they will be spread out among other photos. In the end all the family portraits will go into one album in Favourite Photos that you can check out at any time.

Great idea.

This is such a good idea! I love seeing the family groups with their names and relationships explained. It is going to be easier to remember who is who. Your Medieval Fantasy world has a large cast of characters and I have a hard time remembering how they are related to one another. Having an album showcasing each of the handsome family groups will be lovely!
