With the main course finished, it was time for everyone's favourite part of the meal - dessert.

Dessert was a much less formal course, and everyone was encouraged to get up and mingle....

With dinner almost over, the ladies were looking forward to their own special treat...

I've really been enjoying your sweet and whimsical story. I hope that the ladies' surprise will be the menfolk doing KP duty. After all, they all played while the women did all the hard work of creating the delicious meal and treats. Kitti (my favorite of the ladies) does have a - dare I day foxy? - facial expression as she regards the guys.

How could I have forgotten all the fabulous desserts!!

These pictures are so much fun.. the little mice sharing treats, the little lady mouse contemplating that delicious looking fruit pie, Chip using the ladder up to the dessert table thoughtfully provided by the larger animals, and finally Kitty sipping her coffee and looking so content with the success of the get together.

And I bet the gentlemen will offer to help with the dishes :o)
