Blue Peacock Gowns

11/24/2025

Last month I busied myself making some more ball gowns for my Fashion size ladies. I had two peacock print satin capes I'd picked up at Value Village at Halloween a few years ago. I had always planned to make doll dresses out of them, and now was that time.
I used the same new Elf Gown Pattern I've been using all year, and chose Bianca and Agnes to be my models....

Matias agreed to squeeze into one of the tuxedos, to accompany his beautiful wife....

Well done! These two dresses are absolutely beautiful because the fabric print is stunning.
Have a nice day.

Thank you! I'd been saving that fabric for quite some time and finally decided to make something out of it.

The gowns are gorgeous! The colour, the peacock feather pattern, the trim, everything about them is beautiful. ❤️

Matias looks quite elegant dressed in a tuxedo. (Actually he looks great in everything!) I suspect that posing standing still with Agnes is about all he can manage without splitting seams!

Thank you1

I did a lot of embroidery and beading at the top of the bodice to suggest 'feathers'.

The tuxedo is by Iplehouse and was made to fit the Muscle body (Lawrence), so fits nice and roomy on Rex, but Matias is about the same as the IH Muscle body, except a bit taller and longer in the arms. He had to go comando in order to squeeze into the pants, and had to wear black boots to hide his ankles. He couldn't sit down, or even move his arms or his shirt buttons would burst. But it sure looked good on him.

How lovely they all look. I hope they are planning a night on the town sometime soon to show off the new gowns.

The gowns are gorgeous. Such a beautiful fabric and the trim T the top of their bodice is lovely.

The peacock gowns are gorgeous!! You seem to find the most gorgeous "fabrics"/wonderful items at your Value Village. I was convinced that they must be different, and fortunately I actually found that one exists here! I thought I would find my own treasure trove of wonderful items, but alas, just like other thrift shops here, there wasn't much to get excited about. OUR thrift shops seem to carry "junk" that's overpiced to boot!
