Baby Clothes

I have two baby elves from DreamHigh Studio, but they are not twins. I ordered one when they were first released, and after she arrived DHS released her again with a set of different faceplates. So I had to order another. I had made a tiny dress and nightgown for the first one - baby Mika - so when Gabi arrived she ended up in Mika's nightgown for the good part of a year.

So in January I decided to finally make Gabi a dress and nightgown of her own. Her nightgown would be identical, but I wanted her dress to be a little different...

The new dress ended up a bit too long, and I couldn't shorten it at the hem, and I didn't want to pick the whole dress apart to cut some off the top, so I stitched a tuck into the skirt....

Both dresses are really cute. It is always encouraging when you show how you remedy problems that happen when you are creating an outfit. A "mistake" can be turned into something quite nice if you stop to think what can be done about it. Discouragement gives way to satisfaction.

These two little girls are so adorable ❤️ They have me smiling back at them every time I see them.The last photo is wonderful ❤️😊❤️

Thank you! I wanted Gabi's dress to look a bit more 'babyish' but the long skirt was all wrong. It would have been nicer without the tuck, but it is what it is.

Yes, these two are just adorable. I do have all the different faceplates, but have only used the sleeping one so far. Somehow I can't picture either of them with a grumpy face. But maybe some day?

What little cuties! Somehow I can hear them breaking into the chorus of Sisters, Sisters from the old Bing Crosby movie.
