"Me too!!" she groaned.

Ringo was the first of the elves to wake up, and wanted to be helpful, so he started to clear the table by stacking all the dirty dishes. He noticed several slices of cake that looked like they hadn’t even been touched last night. He hadn’t had breakfast yet, and the cake looked mighty tempting. So, he sat down and helped himself to some. Snowball came over. He hadn’t had breakfast yet either. “You want some too boy?” And he started offering Snowball all the plates that still had leftovers on them. Willie and Winston were busy sweeping, cleaning up the mess on the floor, and Narae came over to help them for a bit. Ringo was concerned about Santa, so Narae went to check on her grandfather, but his headache wasn't getting much better. "I think I'm getting way too old to pull these all-nighters!!" he sighed. Cinnamon woke with a sore stomach.
"Me too!!" she groaned. Narae was about to offer her Grandfather a warm blanket Just as Winston and Willie came in. The elves had been partying all night, and were all still asleep. Cinnamon never even made it to her bed, and was asleep in a chair. But the place was a total dump. So, Willie and Winston had decided to get up early and clean up the place before Santa came home, but they were too late, he was already back. Narae signalled to them to do it quietly, as Santa had a bad headache. Winston and Willie had brought brooms, and they started sweeping. "What a mess!" whispered Willie. “Well, it was quite some party last night!” commented Winston.
It was early Christmas morning when Santa got back to the North Pole. He was totally exhausted … and had a splitting headache. Narae had been waiting up for him.... and helped him off with his coat. He sat down and put his feet up... and Narae got him an ice pack.
Meanwhile Santa was busy making his rounds…. and enjoying some treats of his own. Many homes had put out cookies and milk for him He usually just took a few cookies and stuffed them in his pockets to enjoy later, because the last thing he needed was a sugar high, especially tonight, but occasionally when someone had put out something special, he’d take a short break and sit down to actually enjoy one or two. And then off he'd go again.... He’d be as quiet as he could be, but sometimes he’d get caught by a child who had stayed awake all night waiting to see if there really was a Santa Claus. Then he’d stop and chat for a few minutes before tucking the child in and continuing on his way. As a result, it was a very long night, and it was starting to get light already, when there was just one more house on his list. Once he’d dropped off the gifts, he’d be done for another year …
It was a tradition that every Christmas Eve, while Santa was away all night making his deliveries, the rest of the staff would have a party. All the workshop tables and chairs would be lined up into one big, long table, and covered with all kinds of yummy things to eat. This year they were in for a special treat, since Winston had offered to make all the goodies.
"Would you like a cupcake?” he offered, “It's my own personal recipe." "Yes, please!” said Tillie, “They look really yummy!!" Well, it was finally time for Santa to get dressed, and get ready to leave. "So, you have to go around the whole world??" asked Winston "Well, no. I just go to a couple of countries,“ he replied, “like Canada, the United States, and a couple of other ones. I have several brothers and sisters who deliver Holiday gifts to many of the other countries. Like Sinterklaas in the Netherlands; Kris Kringle in Germany, Austria & Hungary; Father Frost and his Granddaughter in the Russian countries; Father Christmas in England; Le Befana in Italy; and the Three Magi in the Spanish countries. Some people mistakenly call all of us 'Santa Claus', and use our names interchangeably, but we are all entirely different people." Everyone was gathered around the globe. "So, where on there are we exactly?" asked Willie. "Right here, near the very top,” Santa pointed, “on the northern-most island in Canada … " Just like every other Christmas Eve, the workshop had been transformed into a party room, so the elves could celebrate another year well done “This year you'll have a special treat,” said Santa, “since Winston here offered to cater your party this year. I know he's been working very hard in the kitchen the past few days, and everything sure smelled amazing." “Anyway, it's time to go. So, have fun everyone! And I'll see you all again tomorrow." Narae accompanied her grandfather to the stable to see him off. “Do you need any help?” she asked. “No thanks, I’m fine.” he replied. ‘The reindeer are already harnessed and waiting outside, so I can manage it by myself.” Narae hugged him. “Be careful tonight, and don’t take any unnecessary chances.” Then Santa theaded towards the door. Narae watched him leave, “Good luck Grandpa. I love you! And I’ll see you in the morning.”
So, they all headed to the stable to load up the sleigh. It was a huge task as there were mountains of gifts. Cartloads of presents were brought in from the storerooms, but Santa's sacks were magic and would be able to hold everything. But they had to be packed in the correct order. So Paige was in charge of making sure all the gifts were being put into the sacks in the order they would be delivered, with the last ones to be delivered going in first. The elves were very organized, having done the packing many times before, and it didn’t take them that long to get everything packed into the sleigh. Santa went over to Paige who double checked her list. “It looks like we are all done.” she announced. “Great job everyone!’ said Santa, “Now let’s go relax for a while So, they headed back to the workshop for their annual staff photo.... ...and then to enjoy their annual Christmas Eve puppet show....
One day Winston came for a visit... ...and the elves presented him with a special stocking made just for him.... The elves continued to work hard as Christmas Eve got ever closer... Even Santa would help out where needed.... Then, on Christmas Eve, with the last of the animals stuffed, Santa took a look around. "Well, it looks like we are all done! Now we just have to pack everything into the sleigh, and then we can relax for a few hours before it's time for me to leave."
The next few weeks the workshop was a very busy place.... Willie helped sew dozens of stockings.... While Cinnamon stuffed them.... There were lists to check... ...and toys to stuff... Then Willie would transport them to packaging....
After making sure the horses were comfortable, the Wizard and his companions went into the workshop, and as he stepped through the door he became Santa Claus. "We're back!" he announced. His granddaughter gave him a big hug. ""I'm so glad you're back." "And who might you be?" Santa introduced Willie to all the elves. "She's going to be helping us out this year." and they presented her with her own little elf outfit... "How do I look?"
