I'm finally trying to work on a costume that I've wanted to make for some time, and with it being mostly red, green and gold, what better time that right before Christmas? I had saved some of the trims last time I made something like this, but this time it's going to be for a much smaller doll, so everything I saved is too big and chunky in scale. So I need to start over from scratch, and of course the only fabric stores around don't carry anything suitable. So it will be a challenge to figure out. But what else is new??

Narae took Willie aside. "The elves have made you a special Elf outfit. Now that you'll be working up here with all of us, they thought it might be nice to help you fit in.." "Wow, that's so cute!" "Would you like to try it on??"
At this time of year, our thoughts turn to helping those less fortunate than ourselves. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a family and warm home to go to, and some are stuck spending the holidays alone, out on the streets in the cold....
Well, Efreet and Erzulie knew there was regularly a man and his dog panhandling out near the mall, and they asked their Mom if they could do something for him. So one evening when they were out Christmas shopping, Efreet brought along an afghan and some warm mittens, and Erzulie took some money out of her piggy bank, and bought a nice warm take-out meal for him.... Santa asked everyone to come gather round.... "We have a new helper this year..." "This is Willie..." "....and I'm sure we will all be learning a lot from her..." "Hello everyone! I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all!"
Everyone was so happy to see Santa and his companions back at the Pole.... Especially his granddaughter.... "I really missed you, Grandpa!!" Tillie was so happy to see Cinnamon.... ...and Efreet and Effie had really missed Snowball..... "And who might you be??"
Come they told me....... pa rum pum pum pum A newborn King to see..... pa rum pum pum pum Our finest gifts we bring..... pa rum pum pum pum To lay before the King.... pa rum pum pum pum rum pum pum pum rum pum pum pum So to honour Him..... pa rum pum pum pum When we come.... Baby Jesus...... pa rum pum pum pum I am a poor boy too..... pa rum pum pum pum I have no gift to bring..... pa rum pum pum pum That's fit to give a King.... pa rum pum pum pum rum pum pum pum rum pum pum pum Shall I play for you?..... pa rum pum pum pum on my drum? Mary nodded pa rum pum pum pum The ox and lamb kept time pa rum pum pum pum I played my drum for Him pa rum pum pum pum I played my best for Him pa rum pum pum pum rum pum pum pum rum pum pum pum Then He smiled at me pa rum pum pum pum Me and my drum And as Erin looked at the babe, he thought it was the most beautiful sight he had ever seen.
"And yet there is something more about him. So much more!" And Erin's heart was filled with love and joy.. Everyone was very happy that Santa had arrived safely....
...and Paige, and Chloe.... ...Efreet, and Santa's granddaughter Narae.... Bonnie and Effie were happy to welcome back Snowflake........and Willie..... "It's great to be back!!"
After a long, cold journey, Santa and his companions finally arrived at his North Pole workshop.... His granddaughter, who was in charge whenever he was away, was happy to see him.... The whole workshop....
With it being the Holiday season, I just had to sneak some non-doll photos in here. Earlier in the week, we went to our eldest son's place to help them bake gingerbread cookies, and last night we went back again to help decorate them. Today when we brought the girls back home, I took some photos... First, Jan's and my decorated snowflake cookies.... ...then a tray with a wider, more colourful assortment... He generally gives tins of cookies to everyone for Christmas, so I'm expecting we'll get some too!
I saw a great quote on a T-shirt on Facebook, that inspired me to take a photo of my elves sewing on my old, vintage hand-crank, Singer sewing machine....
