I've been so very busy, that I've not taken hardly any Christmas photos at all yet this year. So today I took the opportunity to take some photos of Jasmine, in the green lace dress I made for her. Jasmine is a MIM doll, who I purchased as a birthday gift for a special little someone. I've been busy making several outfits for her, and there's still one left to finish, but I have until next week, so there's plenty of time. I wish I had play dolls like this when I was little!
Just a few more days to go, so I thought I'd share a few tree decorating photos from the archives...
And yes, Holly did finally get to open her gifts too. Leona brought in the biggest birthday gift anyone had ever seen.... What could be in such a big box? Everyone gathered round to see.... "Wow! New hockey skates! Just what I wanted!" "...and a new helmet!" Holly had to try them both on right away.... Coco left for a minute and came back with his gift. "I got you a new hockey stick." "I sure hope Dad signs you up on my team this year. I don't want to lose every game!"
Then Holly wanted a new 'official' birthday portrait taken.... The granddaughters hadn't been bringing dolls with them for awhile so I was looking forward to a relatively 'quiet' morning, but then they all arrived fully-loaded. All three brought dolls. Natalya even had three, plus her ponies. So Jan had to move some family room furniture out of the way so we could take doll photos with our tree.... I'm not sure if Natalya's doll is from the Walmart series of play dolls, but her mouse is a souvenir from last weekend's trip to see the Nutcracker with her Mom... The dolls liked the clip-on glass birds.... ...and Natalya's baby doll kept getting into everything.... They helped set up the Nativity scene....
Everyone knew Cinnamon, even though she was only four, was a major Star Wars fan.... Several of her friends got her Star Wars Lego, and big sister Tillie got her a Star Wars poster,
and movie tickets to the premiere of 'the Force Awakens' tomorrow.... I've decided to do 'box-opening' photos of each doll's special gifts, one at a time, so it wouldn't become a mad house of ribbons and wrapping with everyone wanting to see what everyone was getting. So, first to open his special gifts was Coco..... A new engine and coal car for his train set....
