Some more holiday portraits of my Kaye Wiggs girls.... First, Kayla in purple.... Hope in pink..... ...and Layla in blue....
I've just put all the Special Christmas dresses up for sale. They are made to fit Kaye Wiggs MSDs and the SD with the Nelly body. They may also fit other dolls with similar measurements. The dresses come in three colours, with two identical MSD size ones made, and one SD ..... For more details, and to see which ones are still available, please check the For Sale page.
It's lightly snowing outside, and the boys wanted to go outside and try catch snowflakes. So they bundled up in their nice warm sweaters and hats, and borrowed some scarves from the girls, and out they went. Problem was, it wasn't snowing very hard and they couldn't catch anything....so I thought I'd help them out.... "Okay guys, I found a snowflake! You want it?" "Wow, that's a really nice big one!" I finished Ringo's sweater and knit him a matching toque, then thought Efreet could use a hat as well. Now I'm busy working on scarves for them both - in between finishing the last dress for Nelly.
*Photo Tip - on such a dark overcast day, with the dolls looking down, their faces would have been extremely dark - especially Efreet with his brown skin - so I posed them on a large sheet of white paper so the light would bounce up into their faces. Managed to get all my Kaye Wiggs girls together for a Holiday photo.... I still haven't finished the pink and blue dresses for Nelly. It was another fun 'distracting' family weekend, with guests, a birthday party, and grandchildren decorating gingerbread houses. Plus my mind is constantly distracted by pressing health issues, so it's very difficult to concentrate on doll stuff, let alone be creative with photos. So, like usual, I'm way behind where I wanted to be. I did manage to finish all the petticoats, tights, and all the hair bows except for the fabric ones that go with the blue and pink Nelly dresses. The bows for the Nelly outfits are made up of several separate pieces as I really had to be creative with fitting and cutting everything out of the last bits of fabric. Hopefully today I can finish Nelly's pink party dress.
