Narae's sheep had been sheared, and she had washed and dried the fleece... There was a LOT.... Rags was making a big mess out of it... "So, now what..??"
Halloween was over and the pumpkins had seen better days. They were shrivelling and going all mouldy inside, so it was time to get rid of them..... "These look pretty bad..." "Yeah, they are looking really bad..." "They are full of mould, so we have to get rid of them..." "I wish they lasted longer..." "It's not good to be around such mouldy stuff...." "Definitely time to get rid of them...."
Someone on one of the doll forums asked if anyone had a photo of a JID girl with an FID guy, so she could see if they work together, since there is almost no selection among the JID guys. So I thought I would take some pictures to show how they compare.... To me, it's not so much about the height, as that works just fine, but they are two entirely different scale dolls. The JIDs are more 'dolly' proportioned, with bigger heads, while the fIDs are a much more realistic proportion. Here's a bigger group, with three JIDs and two FIDs...
Talyssa and her friends were having a great time... She had invited Olivia and Charlotte (Cookie), since they were both new in town, and thought it might be a good opportunity for them to meet some of the other girls, and make friends... Olivia and Erzulie hit it off right away.... Cookie fit right in with the two younger girls.... Byuri and Tillie admired Talyssa's birthday cake....
"I want one just like it for my next birthday!" "Me too!" Now that I have a fireplace, and with Christmas coming up, I decided I was going to need some stockings to hang on it. So, yesterday we went to Len's Mills to look for some Christmas fabric suitable for making some. They have an entire aisle dedicated to Christmas fabrics, and I found one that actually had Christmas stockings printed right on it. Five different designs, with both sides shown. Forget having to make stockings from scratch! All that I'd have to do would be to cut them out and sew them back to back so the stockings would be the same on back and front, and could be hung in whatever direction I wanted.... I also found a fabric printed with Christmas theme squares, perfect for some doll-size decorative pillows for the Holidays.
I figured both would be nice things to work on in the evenings while listening to TV, and I could even offer them up for sale. The stockings, being flat, would just fit in a standard envelope, so there wouldn't be much cost for sending them. Same with the pillow cases if they are sent unstuffed. *Stocking fabric is Timeless Treasures of SoHo,LLC. Yesterday, November 3rd, was National Sandwich Day.... Today, November 4th, is King Tut Day,
to commemorate the day Howard Carter discovered his tomb, way back in 1922.... It was time to open her gifts.... Talyssa was thrilled to receive an Etch-a-Sketch.... "Thank you so much!!" "I've always wanted one of these!!" So she went to play with it right away....
Tiny Talyssa finally had her birthday celebration recently. She reluctantly posed for all the standard portrait shots.... With all her friends.... With her cake.... ...and with just her two closest friends....
