It was Halloween, and the mice decided at the very last minute that they'd like to go trick-or-treating. They didn't have any costumes, just a few cloaks, and some masks, but decided those would be good enough so no one would recognize them....

With all the hard work going out to gather pumpkins, and then carving them, I thought the kids deserved some nice costumes so they could go out Trick-or-Treating, so I made them some....
Back at home the kids got busy carving their pumpkins... ...and the first job is to cut them open and remove all the innards.... Alex got his hands right in there... But Bella preferred to use a spoon to scrape out the inside.... The really fun part was carving the faces.... "These are going to look great all lit up."
It was a beautiful autumn day when the kids went out to get some pumpkins for Halloween.... Even their cat came along...
July 15th was National Gummi Worm Day, and Effie had brought along a bag of huge Gummi worms to her friend's house... Everyone eagerly helped themselves to one.... "Let go!" "No! I had it first!" "If you both keep pulling on it like you're going to rip it in half!" "And there are plenty more!" But the boys continued to pull on the worm... And of course it broke... "Ooops!" "Told you so!"
It's the end of October and my back garden is just about done for another year.... All the hostas have been turning bright yellow. Each day there's more yellow and less green.... The garden is on 'life support' as we've been bringing all the moveable pots of flowers into the garage whenever the night temperatures approach freezing... So it's still very colourful... But this weekend it all ends. We will be getting our first night frost. Yes, we'll bring the moveable pots into the garage again, but we can't save the hostas. They will all freeze and turn to mush. I don't know how much longer we can keep saving the potted flowers. They aren't looking very good up close anymore either. So, if I want to take any last doll photos out there, I need to do it today. Although it's supposed to rain, so who knows? It's just sad when it all comes to an end for another year, as it will be eight months before there's any colour out there again.
August 2nd was National ice Cream Sandwich Day, and Smuzhka and Ginger Raccoon had invited some of their friends over for an ice cream party in their garden. They had been saving some human size ice cream sandwiches in their ice house, and today was the day they were finally going to take them out and serve them.... Smuzhka was cutting the ice cream sandwich into serving sized pieces.... ...while Ginger served them...
It was finally time for the dragons to leave, so they posed with Byuri for one last group photo... They had had a wonderful time together, but Elliot and Sparkle were excited to be going home... But Nuri was feeling a little sad. She was going to miss their new friend Byuri, and Byuri was going to miss them too. To revisit their entire trip, go to - Dragons Out West
It was the last day of their trip out west... ...and the little dragons had really enjoyed spending all the time with their new friend as she showed them her favourite places. Sparkle and Scorch were planning something... Sparkle grabbed Byuri's hat... "Hey! Give that back!" But Sparkle passed the hat to Scorch... The others thought it was just too funny... ...because he couldn't see anything.
Byuri and Winston were in Wawa... She wanted to show him the Ojibway art painted on the walls of one of the shops.... Byuri and the goose. 'Wawa' is the Ojibway word for wild goose. A family of bears painted on another wall... Winston didn't quite understand it, but agreed that native art was definitely very colourful.
