Knowing how much my Manuna Mice loved cheese, I was initially sorely tempted to make them a 'cheese' cake for their birthday. But being mice, I knew there was something - or someone - else they loved just as much, and made that instead..... A Mickey and Minnie Mouse cake! The Mice were thrilled! They had a great party with their friends.... They posed for their 'official birthday portrait'... "Wow, that was a great party!"

This past week, on October 15th, three of my little Manuna Mice celebrated their 'birthdays'. Even though they were ordered many months apart, they all arrived (in separate boxes) on the very same day. My little mice can pass as boys or girls, so for their party I dressed them up in their fairy tutus. They had everything set up, waiting for their party guests to arrive.... Soon there was a knock on the door. Their guests had arrived! Everyone brought beautifully wrapped gifts. The first one was a cheese. In fact, everyone had brought them cheese! "We love cheese! It's our very favourite thing!"
We are back home again! Four weeks away is a very long time! We had a good time, even though the weather definitely wasn't cooperating. Way too much rain! I took LOTS of doll photos, even when the weather wasn't the best. It's going to take me awhile to process them all, since I shoot everything in RAW, so every picture needs to be individually processed in Photoshop. In the meantime, here's a few photos just to get started..... Owen and Leona at Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, on a rare sunny day.... Owen and Milo building forts out of driftwood at Wikanninish Beach, at Pacific Rim National Park, Vancouver Island, British Columbia..... Checking to see how the photos turned out, at Emerald Lake, in Yoho National Park, British Columbia....... Enjoying the autumn colours during a rare sunny moment, north of Sault Ste Marie, in Ontario... There's lots and lots more photos, but I need to first help unpack and
clean everything up. So that's it for now. |
