Saphira felt proud of her embroidery so far... ..and held it up to show the others.... "That's really impressive." commented Lily, who hadn't really expected much of her dragon friend. The fairies agreed. They were all surprised at how well Saphira was doing

Saphira decided to embroider just one butterfly. and it was coming along nicely. They were all having a nice relaxing time... Lily was impressed. She hadn't realized that dragons could actually do fine needlework. But Saphira was determined to expand her domestic skills... However, Nuri and Sparkle were getting bored...
There had been a lot of interest in Lily's embroidery group, but she felt it would be better to not have too many attendees at once. So she started a second group for some fairies. Saphira also wanted to come, and brought along her two little daughters. The butterflies were only too happy to pose again... Saphira took a closer look at Lily's embroidery... "Is that what we are supposed to be doing?" "Well, it doesn't have to be this elaborate." "A single butterfly would be a good place to start." So, Nuri helped her mom choose some embroidery thread... ...and Sparkle went over to see what Aki was doing...
Miho wanted to show Naomi some of the fabrics she'd collected... Naomi had never seen such beautiful fabrics before. Baron and Dominic stood aside with the children... "These fabrics are incredible." "I'm so glad you like them." replied Miho. "And I'm curious to see what you make out of them." There were so many wonderful fabrics... "This one is gorgeous too." "And so are all these..." "You have the most amazing taste in fabric." Baron and Dominic couldn't help but smile at how excited Naomi was with everything. All the work they had put into this room, had definitely been worth it. Naomi embraced her Mother-in-law... "Thank you so much!" "This means more to me than I can say."
Naomi started looking around the room, and noticed the tapestry over the fireplace... "Do you like it?" Baron asked. "It's beautiful." "We had it specially commissioned for you." "I love it." And she hugged him... "It's absolutely perfect." "Thank you."
Baron passed Daniel over to Miho, "We have another surprise for you." He led Naomi down the hall to another nearby room. Then he covered her eyes.... ...before leading her into the room that been locked the past few weeks as it was undergoing some special renovations. "Welcome to your new sewing room." Naomi could barely believe her eyes.... "How did you do this?" "I knew you really missed your old fashion shop..." "So, we thought we'd surprise you with a new space of your own. We had this empty storeroom renovated specially for you..." "... and my Mother sourced some special fabrics for you to help get you started." "You did all this for me?" "It's incredible! I love it. It's perfect!"
Back just before Naomi's birthday, Baron and Miho had something very special planned.... He went to Victorian times.... ...to buy Naomi a very special gift... Then on her birthday he surprised her with lots of gifts.... Naomi could barely believe it... She was excited to show Miho and Dominic the sewing machine... But Baron wasn't done yet.
I decided Matias needed something more 'casual' to wear. He has a suit of armour, and a formal outfit for special occasions, but nothing appropriate to wear during his down time like tending to his horse or going out hunting. So I made him something similar to Rex and Baron's more rustic, casual outfits.... Posing with the two ladies...
Serena is modelling the second of the new gowns. It's in gray and pink and meant to be a more 'casual' gown for Lady Agnes.
The last few months I've been busy taking photos during the days, and still doing a bit of sewing in the evenings. Two of the new ladies that arrived in the past year still needed a dress of their own. I got them both to be costume models, especially for some of the other periods I've always wanted to make. But, of course, they first needed something to fit in with the current Fantasy Medieval period. The first gown I made was a more 'casual' gown in blue... I thought Bella looked beautiful in it... ...so it will become her default outfit for now.
