After his little adventure in Jurassic Park, Lawrence went back to his own time, with his own kids, and gave them a little lesson in falconry with contemporary raptors, the modern ancestors of the dinosaurs he left behind....           I was still trying to find Mini Layla's look. There was something about her I just couldn't relate to. I don't have many wigs her size, and the one she'd been wearing up until now, although beautiful, was just too long and 'bushy'. So I tried a different wig for a recent fairy photo shoot....
 The wig just wasn't doing it for me, and there seemed to be something lacking with her face too. She was just too monotone, lacking some colour in some way. So back to her original wig I went, and since it was decided it would definitely be hers to keep, I gave it a major haircut. I also changed her eyes to a turquoise blue. I thought she looked much better....    Her eyes still seem rather dark, except in close-ups, so maybe I should see if I have some with a slightly smaller iris, with a bit more white showing.
I've posted a new pdf for this gown designed to fit an Iplehouse FID with the Athletic body. It used to have only the bodice, but now has the entire gown including the different length skirts, the bows, and the wings. It's 'Just Pattern', but is part of a Creative Journey, so experienced sewers should be able to figure it out...  It was a hot day and I spotted several fairies resting in the shade....        |
