I envision a poker game being played in the evening with a light hanging low over the table. So I took a 'Tiffany' style tealight shade and suspended it from the chandelier. But it didn't have a real light inside, so I asked Jan to aim a flashlight at it from above.... ....lighting up both the shade and the guys playing poker. Note that there are no background 'walls' for this scene. I just used the fireplace, a dark wooden cabinet and a grandfather clock. The open hallway in behind, and the fabric-lined, dining room, French door, fill in the background. And I had to print out the classic picture of dogs playing poker to hang above the fireplace.... ...to create a scene like this....
It was poker night.....and the guys had brought something more valuable to bet with.... Steve was an expert at maintaining a straight poker face.... ...and it's a 'Royal flush'..... ...and Owen had one too. "So I guess we get to share the winnings...." (Disclaimer - I know NOTHING about poker, other than that cards, chips, and betting are involved, so please excuse me if the scenarios are not true to life)
Catching butterflies.... Nami's dragon....from the days before Winston arrived on the scene.... *Story here
I recently needed a bunch of poker chips for a photo shoot, so made some from polymer clay. But then I had to paint them all to give them the proper markings....or very simplified ones....
Lawrence let David hold his sword..... 'How come you get to hold it first?" " I want a turn too!" So Lawrence let him try.... But it was just too big and heavy for him... ...and there was no way he could hold it upright without some help... Ringo was so disappointed... So Lawrence suggested he could just stand and strike a pose with it instead.... Ringo felt so proud. He felt like he could be one of his dad's knights.... ...and he continued to pose with the sword as I took a picture of him with David and their sisters....
Today is 'Buy a Musical Instrument' Day, and the girls have scored big time at the symphony garage sale Watching the monkeys.....
Efreet and Erzulie were heading home from the store with a big load of toilet paper.... Even Teddy on the back had a few packages... When they came across Chloe, who seemed to be in some trouble. One of her packages had split and the toilet paper was unwinding all over the place.... "You having a problem??" "Yes. This one roll keeps unrolling..." ".I'm trying to roll it back up, but the wind keeps catching it..." "...and blowing it all over the place..." "You want some help?" "Yes, please!. That would be great!" So they got off their bikes to help... "Thanks so much for your help..." And soon they were all able to continue on their way....
