With their entire family, finally all together, back in Victorian times, Steve & Isis hired a professional photographer to take a series of family portraits....

I didn't think to take a 'behind-the-scenes' shot of the Fantasy Banquet until all the dolls, the mushrooms, and most of the chairs had already been cleaned up. It was a really hot, humid day, with threat of rain at any moment, and as I came back into the backyard after bringing another handful of dolls back into the house, it occurred to me that I should really take a photo.....
"Would you mind if I tried some of what you have there??" "This is really nice!" "Yes, we should get together like this more often..."
I took a lot of photos from different angles, but didn't change the doll's posing much, as it's always a challenge with so many dolls. Plus, it was really hot and humid that day. So here's a few more...
A Fairytale gathering in the forest.... "I'd like to welcome everyone!" "....and to thank Lily, for hosting our little get-together.."
The Wizard had been invited to a party.... Nami, Paige, and Winston, had also been invited. But no one was really sure where the Fairies were getting ready... "I know exactly where it is. Just follow me!" "Everyone, follow Willie!" So, off they went....
I spotted this table all laid out with all kinds of goodies, in my upper garden.
Is someone going to have a party?? I've been working on making a Victorian coat for Steve, but have been having a lot of issues with it. First it was designing a pattern. Then working with black fabrics. With my eyesight issues I can barely make out what I'm doing. I dreaded inserting the collar, but it went just fine. But then the sleeves were too short, and too wide, and everything started puckering when I stitched the lining around the sleeves. I had to pick it all apart and do it over. Some of the issues I could live with, but then the back lining didn't match up with the coat fabric, and everything was puckered. But I did like how Steve looked if I zoomed in for a close up.... So now I get to start all over from scratch, redesigning the patterns, making adjustments for all the things that didn't turn out how they were supposed to....or I envisioned them. Fantasy clothes are so much easier!
This is why I bought Lawrence's tuxedo. I can't imagine trying to sew something like that!! No doll photos this time, just a few shots of the beauty out in my garden, now that Spring has finally begun. The scillas are finished.... ...but my star magnolia has started to bloom.... There's pots of pansies... ...and in the woods the trilliums and trout lilies are in bloom....
