I picked up this great Our Generation accessory pack at Mastermind Toys earlier this week.

Well, our crazy roller-coaster weather continues, and we had snow overnight and this morning. "Hurry up and eat your cereal, and I'll pack your school bag." So, the three of them headed off towards school. "Hey look, it's packing snow!" So Efreet decided to quickly make a snowman.... "Come on, we're going to be late for school!" I have to say that's it's incredibly challenging to take photos of dark dolls in white snow,
especially the new girl with her darker skin. Fortunately I have a few skills in Photoshop. I've been playing with Angela some more, switching out her eyes and wig, but still ended up with the smaller 8mm eyes. Personally I really like her in Erzulie's wig. I also thought her sweater set was bringing out the red too much, so switched her to a light blue set - again, borrowed from poor Erzulie. I'm finding Angela doesn't quite so sad or worried if she has bangs..... I borrowed some clothes for Benny, and took some photos of her as well. She is really beautiful, but I find she has a 'deer in the headlights' look about her when photographed head on. Maybe I should try some 12mm eyes on her. My Leona is the only other doll of mine that still has 12mm eyes, and they work for her. So maybe Benny needs them too. I don't have any dark brown wigs, but I did like this Brown/Black Monique wig on her. Angela and Benny together....
Went to Charie's today to pick up my JID Benny and KID Angela. Charie worked her magic once again, and the two of them look just like sisters. I had a wintery outfit for Angela, which I made back in January, so I could dress her and try on some wigs. The wig that looked best was Erzulie's dark brown wig from Fatio, so I'll have to order one when it's back in stock. In the meantime, she looked second best in the Brown/Black Ellowyne-Rose by Monique. She came with the standard 12mm eyes, which I had already switched out to 10mm ones. But even those seemed too big, so I tried my last pair of 8mm eyes. I may try the 10mm ones again as I try to figure out what looks best on her. Angela was intended to be a big sister for Efreet and Erzulie, and she still will be, but her light brown resin is a completely different colour. Efreet and Erzulie are the original light brown with the French resin in the formula, and it's quite a bit lighter, and has a more 'yellow' undertone. The current light brown is a lot darker and has considerably more reddish undertones. I took some photos of Angela with Paige, as the two of them were in the same order, so arrived together and will have the same 'birthday'. I still haven't decided on which wig to give Paige. I personally like Peach's wig best on her, but don't feel right stealing it. However, soon after taking these photos, I gave Paige Peach's wig again.... Next is Benny. She is gorgeous! And the first wig I tried on her looks beautiful, so at least that's one problem solved. But I don't have anything extra that fits a JID, so if I want to take an introductory photo, then I either have to borrow one of the other lady's outfits, or make something.
Ringo, who knew all about pain and suffering, brought Chloe some cool treats to help
her sore mouth. "A popsicle, or ice cream cone, which would you prefer?" I asked for my tooth back, and the dental assistant smiled and asked 'for Tooth Fairy photos?" "Yes, for sure!" "Wow, this is one BIG tooth! Definitely worth a Loonie!" "Thank you Tooth Fairy! I had been hoping for a little more, as I'm going to pick up
two of my dolls from Charie's today. But I guess every dollar counts." Just home from the dentist, after having a tooth pulled.... Now it's icing the cheek for 20 minutes on, then 20 minutes off, for the rest of the day Of course mine was a wisdom tooth, so, I guess I'm a little less wise now.
I'm slowly making progress on Asa's new dress, being made from an old Indian skirt. The bodice is done, except for the eyelets up the back, since they can't be inserted until after the skirts are sewn on. I'm pleased with how everything is coming together.... The bodice is beautifully form-fitting. I cut the front panel with one of the deep pink, diamond appliqués in the center, and had to remove all the beads in order to sew it. The edges of the front curlicues were also cut off, and had to be re-embroidered back on. All edges are beaded... The embellishments along the bottom of the skirt will need some repair before I can sew the skirt onto the bodice. I hope it isn't too much work. I'd really like to see the dress together, but tomorrow I have to go for a wisdom tooth extraction, so who knows how the rest of the week will go, and if I feel like sewing.
