It really felt like stepping back in time....
Rex and Bianca were both very impressed by the Medieval venue. It really felt like stepping back in time.... "Wow, just look at all that amazing food! I need to take a photo..." "And I just have to take a photo of you. You look so amazing as a knight..." Actually I should take a selfie, with both of us..." Rosie was patiently waiting for them to be seated.... "Maybe you could take a photo of the two of us together?" Bianca smoothed back her hair, as Rosie obliged.... "Now, please be seated..."
Bianca wasn't sure where the Medieval Gala was exactly, but the limo ride seemed to take forever. It was nice to finally get there.... 'Welcome! My name is Rosie..." "...and I will be your hostess this evening." "This will be your table..." "Wow, this looks amazing!"
In addition to finishing the dessert order for the Medieval Gala, Leona has to start focussing on increasing her stock for Valentine's Day..... Piping pastry cream into the cannolis.... I'm trying to help Leona with her orders.... The cream puffs and eclairs are salt dough with brown paint & glue 'icing'. The strawberry cheesecakes and small pink cakes are made of polymer clay over small wooden blocks. All the various cookies are polymer clay. The cannolis are polymer clay with drywall compound 'pastry cream'. Then I squirted all the leftover drywall compound into 'coconut macaroons'. There's also three polymer clay macarons, and a cell phone - because someone might just need one of those.
Leona's Village Bake Shop was lucky enough to get the contract for all the baked items for the Medieval Gala, so she's been busy baking all week.... *The cream puff tower, and rolls, are made from salt dough, and everything else is polymer clay. I already had a small turkey and decided to make it double as a pheasant by making a tail out of card stock, which could be inserted in it's body cavity. And I made some turkey drumsticks....
After struggling with the green gown at every turn, I finally finished it today. It's not how I envisioned it when I first started, but I had to listen to the gown itself and what it wanted. So I basically left it very 'simple'.... I made a stuffed circlet as a matching headpiece.... Something suggested she and Winston needed to meet..... They make a great pair.... I personally think this gown suits Bianca much more than the red one. It has a 'younger' quality about it. However, I'm in mid-story with Rex and Bianca headed to Medieval Times, with her wearing the red gown Rex rented for her. Oh well. Whenever Monica comes back from the spa she will claim the red gown back, so it's not like Bianca was going to keep it anyways.
But with Bianca looking so beautiful in this gown, that means Rex is going to need a knight or nobleman costume as well, since Baron will want his outfit back when he comes back as well. Sigh. Seems like making doll costumes is like playing dominos.....because one thing constantly leads to another, and another, and another..... Or maybe I'll just hold off on that, and let one of the two new FID ladies claim this gown whenever they arrive. Because I already had other plans for Rex and Bianca. Two other sets of plans, each needing three brand new costumes. Like I said, 'dominos'..... |
