So she set up Elora with a needle and thread, and bowls of popcorn and cranberries....
"when we take the tree outside, we leave the popcorn chains on it, as a treat for the birds."
"Who would like to help me finish decorating our tree?" "We like to make popcorn chains for our tree, and I think that would be a perfect job for you..." So she set up Elora with a needle and thread, and bowls of popcorn and cranberries.... She made a long chain in no time.... After Elora finished the first chain, Nora took it to hang on the tree... "It's looking really good..." "It sure does. We make popcorn chains at our house too, and I really like them..." "And after Christmas," added Nora, "when we take the tree outside, we leave the popcorn chains on it, as a treat for the birds." "That sounds really wonderful. I'm going to ask my Mom if we can make popcorn chains for our tree next year too."

Back in the woodcutter's cottage, Nick had warmed up, and was ready to go back out. Nora helped him on with his coat... "I need to find their parents, and let them know their children are safe...." "I'm going to head up to the castle first..." "Just keep them entertained until I come back. "
"Come, Max!!" ......and they left. Way back in early November when I was offered a choice of dolls for winning the Resin Cafe Winter theme photo contest, I chose Little Lenny. Well, she finally arrived! I really love the new smaller size of Kaye Wiggs dolls, and had a hard time choosing my prize. In the end I chose Little Lenny, because she reminded me so much of one of my granddaughters when she was little. She could pull that same sorrowful look.... There's just something endearing about her sad little face, and she makes me smile. T
Like, today she's sad because she didn't make it here in time for Christmas, and she missed the whole thing. But it looks like there's still a few gifts left under the tree. Maybe they are for her? Hans' parents were out looking for their son as well. He had told them that he was going on an errand to the castle, but even so, he should have been back long ago.... So they headed up the road to the castle, to look for him... They soon came across three men on horseback. It was the King, and two of his men... "We are looking for the Princess..." "Have you seen her?" "No Sire, we haven't seen her...." "In fact we are looking for our son...." "He went out earlier, heading for the castle, and never came back." "It would seem that we are both searching for our missing children..." "We have already searched this road all the way from the castle, and haven't seen your son...." "And we've searched it from the village to here, and not seen the Princess..." "That just leaves the other road...." 'We could go together to search there..." Hans' father turned to his wife...."What do you think, dear? Are you up to it?" "I don't know. I'm getting really cold and tired, and am starting to wonder if I shouldn't have stayed at home, just in case Hans came back.....but, okay...we need to push on, and find the children, before it gets dark...." Feeling sympathy for the poor, tired woman, one of the king's men offered her his horse....
Well, since it was so easy to change Jude's outfits, I thought I'd try two of the other guys on him as well. First in Eden's costume.....as Robin Hood.... ....and then in Baron's knight costume..... Yesterday I started pulling fabrics for his own costume, which will be my interpretation of Braveheart. I ended up with a gold/brown and black tartan that was over-dyed in blue, to dull down the colours. I think I'm going with the darker blue for his tunic, and one of the two beiges for his under tunic. He will also get leather armour with chain mail.... I just hope he ends up looking as good in it as he does in all the 'borrowed costumes'.
There were only two roads leading down from the castle to the village, so the King started his search for Elora on the main road first... He had two of his best men with him, both very skilled at tracking.... But the snow was coming down hard..... Hiding any tracks the Princess might have left hours earlier... ..and it was coming down harder by the minute.... There was no sign of the Princess....
I'm still too busy working on the final draft of my Christmas story, to seriously start on an outfit for Jude. But I was wondering how he would look in one of my Iple knight's outfits. However I didn't want to go to all the trouble to undress one of them. Then I got the idea to just do a head swap. Well, Lawrence has a similar body with the wider shoulders, so he became my victim.... I thought he looked amazing.... I figure I better get started on an outfit for him, before he lays claim to someone else's.
Meanwhile, Elora was wrapped in a blanket, and had her leg elevated. They were all warming up nicely with a cup of hot chocolate. "So, I'm wondering what you were doing all alone in the woods?" "It's Christmas Eve, and I was going to the village to see the baby in the manger in the stable at the Inn. But I saw some bunnies .......and followed them into the woods...... and got lost......and tripped and hurt myself.... " Hans chuckled, "I live across the street from the Inn, and there isn't any baby there." "I thought Christmas was about the birth of the new King, so I was going to the castle to see Him there..." "Well, I live at the castle, and there's no new baby there. At least there wasn't when I left..." Nick had to smile inside, at the thought of these two innocent little children, both out in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve, looking for the Christ child. "Yes Christmas is a celebration of the newborn King who was laid in a manger, but that happened a very long time ago, in a country far, far away. I'm sorry, but you aren't going to find Him in a stable or castle here, or now." Both Hans and Elora looked rather disappointed. So Nora offered them another cookie.... *That brings us to the end of Chapter 2
When SartoriaJ first released Jude, many people thought he was just a Rex knock-off. I also thought that he looked an awful lot like Rex. After all, both the company owners used to work for Iplehouse, so it was quite possible that some of their sculpts might look similar. But in reality, the two guys are very different..... Jude has the Athletic51 body, which is comparable to Iple's FID Muscle body, although a few centimetres taller, while Rex has Iple's Model body. Jude's head is also a little bigger, and his Amber Beige resin has more of a 'yellow' undertone, compared to Iple's Special real skin, which seems pale and more pink in comparison. And Jude's faceup is far superior. Here he is with Rex, and Lawrence, who has Iple's Muscle body, and is a tiny bit taller than Rex.... And how does he fit with their families? Well, other than not being the least bit period appropriate at the moment, he fits in just fine.... Which made me wonder about a lady friend? So I introduced Raccoon Rosie and Iple's Grace... Definitely not Rosie, and maybe not even Grace. He'd probably fit best with someone of his own species, but I'm not ready to order one of those. SartoriaJ has some really gorgeous ladies, but I'm really not a fan of their new super curvy bodies. So I guess we'll see.....
Meanwhile back at the castle, the Queen was getting rather concerned about her daughter.... She had just assumed that Elora was going out to make a snowman or some snow angels, but she had been gone a long time... ...and she wasn't in the courtyard... She went to look, then asked the servants if anyone had seen Elora, but no one had. She was getting really worried. So she went to see her husband, who was trying to get a head start on some year-end paperwork... "I can't find Elora!" "What do you mean 'you can't find her'?" "She said she wanted to go outside for a bit, and get some fresh air." "I thought she was just going out to play in the snow in the courtyard, but she's not there...." "That was a couple of hours ago, and no one has seen her..." "I'm so worried. Where could she have gone?" "I'll take some men and go out to look for her..." "Try not to think the worst. She has to be somewhere..." 'We'll find her ..." "...and bring her home..." So the King and his men rode off to search for the Princess...
