Winston was excited to bring his family to see the skull on the beach....

...and the kids immediately started climbing all over it....

Saphira was not impressed...

"Get off of there immediately!"

"But Mama..."

"... it's just a skull Mama."

"No, it's not 'just' a skull."she admonished.

"According to Willie and the Wizard, it's a Drako, which means it's an ancient ancestor of yours."

"..and it deserves your respect. So get off of it immediately!"

"Yes, Mama."

"That's better!"

I think that some little dragons are going to get a history lesson and a genealogy lesson very soon.

When I saw the picture of the little dragons climbing, I thought how disrespectful but I thought too soon LOL. Their mother had the same thought and set them straight! I wonder what they could do to honor the remains? Seems irreverent to just leave it there on the beach. Others may not be good to it. Could they take it to hallowed ground? Is there a dragon burial ground like the elephants have? If not, maybe they could start one. Could they bury it with ceremony and honor someplace safe?

Hi Martha!

I just stumbled across your blog while researching images from The Storyteller, and came across your BEAUTIFUL post featuring the dolls you made of The Storyteller and his dog.

I’m currently running an ARG/scavenger hunt (in the form of a podcast), and I was wondering if you would mind if I could use the image of the dragon skull and the baby dragon as one of the easter eggs?

Basically I’d create an IMGUR link of the photograph, hide the link in a cipher for people to decode, and then they'd have to find your post based on the image alone (and then if you agree, they'd see this comment and realize, yay! They solved that puzzle, haha).
