Arwyn's Adventure,  part Three

These are the final photos in the series of Ryung, as Arwyn, taken as we returned from the Pacific in the late fall of 2010. Most of the photos were taken in the Rockies, at the Icefields Center in Jasper National Park, in Alberta. We had spent the night in the overflow campground (ie. parking lot), in the terminal moraine of the Athabasca glacier. The small pools and stunted trees among the glacial deposits of the moraine provided a perfectly in-scale foreground setting against the mountains with the Snow Dome and Athabasca Glaciers in the background. It was below freezing, with a wicked wind off the glaciers, so I put on my winter parka and took a small carpet from the RV to sit on the frozen ground.

The last few images were taken at Sinclair Cove on Lake Superior much closer to home.
