Special Days 2021
I thought I'd revisit my Special Days series that I started way back in 2013, and give some of my other dolls some camera time.
Read a Road Map
In addition to being Easter this year, April 4th is also National Read a Roadmap Day.
Definitely good for when one is lost....and doesn't have GPS....

Tartan Day
April 6th is National Tartan Day, and Aeran was at the fabric shop looking at their tartans....
"I really like this one..."
Aeran had brought Bonnie with her.....
"This one looks familiar..."
Bird Day
April 8th, is International Bird Day.
It was a lovely spring day, and several of the girls were out filling the bird feeder and enjoying the birds....

The birds were nice and tame, and would sit on their fingers - and not fly away....
the Raptors
Not all birds eat seeds, berries, or bugs, and with it being International Bird Day, the boys were only too happy to be allowed to feed the Falconry raptors....
The snowy owls already had their lunch....
...as did the eagle....
But that didn't stop them from eyeing the rat being offered to the other owl....
"Here you go. This one's for you..."
The two older boys thought it was fascinating....
....but Ringo was a little grossed out....
Painting Parakeets
Not only is it International Bird Day on April 6th, but it is also Draw a Bird Day.
Nami and Judith were playing with their budgies....

Their new cousin Bonnie was over, and she was an artist, and wanted to do a painting of the birds
..while Nami and Judith posed with them...

A Big Wind
April 12th, is 'Big Wind Day', and even though it was raining....
....it was way too windy for an umbrella...
Marbles Day
April 14th is 'World Marbles Day'....

Husband Appreciation
Smuzhka Raccoon was just relaxing reading a book...
It was April 15th, 'Husband Appreciation Day', and Ginger wanted to show him some love....
"Would you like a foot stool?"
"Would you like a foot stool?"
...and she took his jacket to hang up in the closet....
"I brought a nice soft pillow for your feet...."
"Some slippers to keep your feet warm?"
Smuzhka just wanted to get back to his book...
"I baked you some pie. It's still warm from the oven..."
Ginger grabbed her basket and put on her shawl....
"I'm going to the store, and will be back in a little while..."
'Finally, I can finish my book without any more interruptions', thought Smuzhka.
McDonald's Day
April 15th, is the anniversary of the opening of the very first McDonald's, in Des Plaines, Illinois, way back in 1955. So Chloe and Effie thought they'd go treat themselves for dinner.....
"There's park over there, where we can go eat our dinner..."
So they sat down on a park bench....and Chloe unpacked her bag....
"I love these burgers..."
"Me too, but my favourite is their fries..."
Pet Owners Day
April 18th, is 'Pet Owner's Day', so a bunch of my little pet owners got together - along with their pets....

Bicycle Day
April 19th was National Bicycle Day, so Owen and Leona took their kids out for a bike ride in the country...
Everyone was a bit stiff and out of shape, so it was a bit of a struggle at first...

Pretzel Day
April 26th is National Pretzel Day, so Maya made sure the bakery was well stocked...
Eeyore's Birthday
April 29th is officially Eeyore's birthday. I have no idea who came up with that, but a few of the girls decided to throw him a party....
