Victorian Everyday 4 - Life with a Baby
Show & Tell
After Sena was old enough that her bed could be moved into the Nursery, Nyssa invited her friend and cousin over so she could show off her new baby sister....
Her friend and cousin were both the youngest in their families, so didn't have much experience with babies....
"She's the same size as some of my dolls!"
"She's actually wearing some of my doll's clothes! I gave them to my Mom so the baby could borrow them...."
"I think she likes you!"
So In Love
Every time I peeked into the Victorian nursery, Iris was sitting there leaning over the cradle.....
..looking at, and playing with, baby Sena....
A Teddy for Sena
Iris was in the nursery with Sena...
....when Eric came in carrying two of his favourite teddies...
"I thought Sena might like this teddy of mine..."
"It's just her size..."
"That is so sweet of you!!"
"Here, come around to the other side, and you can show it to her...."
"I think she likes it!"
"I'm not surprised. It has always been one of your favourites too."
Eric let her grab it....
"She really likes it!"
Iris was touched by her son's generous gesture.....
...and asked if he'd like to hold her....
"I think I'm going to like being a big brother."
On the Patio
It was a lovely autumn day, perfect for taking baby Sena outside for her first outing....
"Are you sure she's warm enough?"
"I think she likes it out here.."
Going for a Walk
Getting ready to go for a walk takes so much longer when there's a baby in the family....
Baby Sena was distracting her parents....
Nyssa was getting a bit impatient...

"Are we anywhere near ready yet???"
Going for a Walk
Well, they were all finally ready to start on their walk....
Steve decided to push the carriage....
...so Iris would be free to walk with Eric and Nyssa....
..after all, they still needed plenty of her attention too....
Afternoon in the Nursery
Now that baby Sena's bed was in the nursery, the other children could only go in there to play when she was awake....
Cousins
While Nyssa and Elin were playing with their dolls....
....Holly wanted to spend time with her new baby cousin instead....
She knew she had to go back to the future soon, so she wanted to spend as much time with her new cousin as possible...
A Doll's Tea Party
Meanwhile, Nyssa and Elin were having a tea party for their dolls....
Elin was handing out some tiny candies...
While Nyssa poured the imaginary tea....
"My doll would like some tea too, please...."
"Here you go..."
