Kaye Wiggs Everyday 2
A collection of photos of my Kaye Wiggs girls
A New Girl
In July a new little girl arrived. She's a Mini Fair Layla by Kaye Wiggs. I'd been keeping my eyes open for one for a while, since I've been wanting to replace my two MSD size Laylas with the Mini versions, which I like so much better.
This little cutie was enhanced by Kaye Wiggs herself, who added the freckles. I was lucky I still had one spare Mini sized outfit for her to wear, but couldn't find a wig her size that I liked, since most of the 5/6 wigs were purchased for my Fashion sized dolls, so not exactly a style for a little girl. So I ended up sewing a big dart in the back of a 6/7 mohair wig instead.
And with her sister, Mini Layla Elf. Obviously one of them will need a new name.
I'm not sure if she will stay a redhead, as she also looked great as a blonde, but she's going to be a redhead for now. She's just a little sad that she missed going on a recent camping trip with the other girls.
Tiny Books
I'd made tiny versions of my Fairy book and Winston's Photo Album. The fairies were eager to see Winston's album....
...and Winston was eager to see the Fairy book....
Raillie was excited to show Winston the photos that she was in....
Saphira was interested too...
Winston was excited to point out all his favourite photos in his album...
Winston was excited to point out all his favourite photos in his album...
The fairies and dragons loved each other's books...and agreed that they were both wonderful.
Christmas Pillows
With Christmas quickly coming up, my kids have been busy helping to make Holiday pillows.
Sewing...
...and stuffing...
the Snowman
We had some great packing snow so Missy and Raillie took Layla out to make a snowman.
Having just recently arrived from Australia, she'd never made a snowman before...
I'd just finished knitting Layla a sweater and hat set, so the timing was perfect.
Looking Down
When my Mini Layla arrived in late summer, she refused to look down. It was impossible to move her head so she would look down. So I checked to see if she had the little contraption in her neck joint that my other Mini Kaye Wiggs dolls have, and she didn't. It's just a little vinyl thingy, like Missy's here, but it obviously makes a big difference.
So Kaye Wiggs graciously sent me one, and Layla couldn't be more pleased.
She could finally look down and admire her pretty red boots...
She could hang ornaments on the lower branches of the tree...
...and could put gifts under it.
But best of all....she could finally look down and read a book....
Yes Layla, there is a Santa Claus
Layla had insisted she sleep on the sofa in the living room, so she could watch and see if Santa would really come. Then shortly after midnight she woke to a noise...
...and what to her wondering eyes should appear...
...but Santa....
She could barely believe her eyes...
...and he was way too busy to even notice that he was being watched.
When he was done, he headed for the cookies and milk that were on the table right on front if her..
But Layla had already pulled the afghan over her head to hide...
Yes Layla, there really is a Santa Claus.
