Junk Food
July 21st was National Junk Food Day, and the kids wanted to take full advantage...
Faye
Ever since my KID Faye arrived a few years ago, I've been having difficulty 'bonding' with her. There as something about her, and I just couldn't put my finger on it. I even had a friend 'enhance' her makeup a bit, but it didn't really help.
Now, KIDs always have a very big head, and I wondered if a hat would help...
I even considered selling her, and getting a different KID. Then I thought I'd try her as a boy...
it still wasn't working, so I tried her as a contemporary girl...
But compared to the other fair skin girls she just looked so pale and 'unhealthy'.
Then in a final last ditch attempt to see if I could fix her I tried adjusting her makeup. Now, I've never done anything that drastic to a doll before. I may have a lot of skills, but painting dolls is not one of them. Anyways, I was determined to do my best. I tried making the dark shadows under her eyes lighter, gave her more blush, darkened her lips, eyebrows, and added a black line inside her upper eyelid....
I felt the cheeks were blushed too much, so toned them down with a Magic eraser. And I did a bit more work on her eyebrows...
Before and after. It may not be perfect, but I think she does look a lot better.
So now she can go back to her Medieval family....
A Homecoming
We were working on a book about Owen and Leona's family and their trip out west, across the country and back, in 2016. The book was going to be in the form of a trip scrapbook from the perspective of Lonnie, their eldest daughter. The only problem was that the photos ended at a Trading post on their way home and did not have a proper ending. So we thought I needed to take some new homecoming photos to finish the story.
So, I changed the family into the outfits and wigs they wore on their trip back in 2016, and Proceeded to take the new photos.

Unpacking Drako-saurus
We needed some scenes of the huge dragon skull sitting in storage after being on display in the museum...
But one thing led to another, and the photo turned into an 'unpacking' photo....
