Iplekids Everyday - 2
A collection of photos of my smaller Iplehouse dolls....
Going for a Walk
Holly and Elin were getting ready to take their dolls for a walk...
"Is there still room in there for my doll?"
" I don't know. Maybe not."
Rags was eyeing the buggy too....
Rags was eyeing the buggy too....
Then he jumped right in....
"What are you doing, Rags?"
"I think he wants to go for a ride too..."
"All our dolls are definitely not going to fit in then...."
"Well, maybe just this one..."
So Holly fit her doll into the buggy. "I guess you can come along, Rags."
And off they went...
New Pillows
Lisa was finishing the needlepoint pillows that she and Muffy had done...
She had framed the needlepoint with velvet, sewn the pillows and stuffed them....
She thought they turned out really well...
the Doll Collection
I had meant to take some photos for 'World Doll Day' back on June 12th, but it took a while to gather all Holly's doll collection....
There's 19 tiny porcelain dolls, most collected from doll shows and Value Village over the years, as well as four porcelain doll house sized dolls which I dressed years ago. There's also one clothespin doll, and two polymer clay babies which I made. There's 3 vinyl babies, another purchased polymer clay baby, 6 tiny cloth Mexican dolls, and several Fairytale Lalaloopsies....and one teddy....
Sandcastles
June 27th is National Sunglasses Day, and where would they come in more useful than on a bright sunny day at the beach, with the glare off the sand and water?
Lonnie and Bonnie were making sandcastles, and Bonnie had on her sunglasses...
It was just too bright and sunny, with glare off the sand, water, and even her pail....
But Lonnie just had hers perched up on her hat....
Mud
June 29th is 'International Mud Day', and what could be more fun for little boys than jumping in puddles and getting covered up to the ears in mud?
Like at a construction site after a rain storm....
the Crossing Guard
Benny was a single Mom who worked from home, and every morning and afternoon she took time out to go to her second job as a school crossing guard....
It was the last day of school.....
...and the children were excited, with many bringing gifts for their teachers....
Byuri had a rose for her teacher....
Coco had an apple for his teacher....
"I got my teacher a mug. It says 'World's Best Teacher'"
Holly was also carrying a gift.....
...but it wasn't for her teacher...
"This is for you Miss Benny...."
"...to thank you for helping us cross the street safely every day...."
A few extra photos too good not to include....
Every Child Matters
On June 30th, the day before we celebrate Canada Day, radio stations across the country came together to give a voice to our indigenous people, after the horrific discovery earlier this month, of the hundreds of unmarked graves at the sites of former Indian Residential schools in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. So I took a few photos to honour the children...
