As much as I liked Jude's long, wild hair, I've been toying with the idea of seeing him in other outfits, ones that would require a shorter, more fashionable hair style. I didn't want to trim his existing wig, since once it's cut there's no going back. So I made him a second wig. I used the same mohair, in the same basic style, just half as long...

I'd been taking portrait studies of several of my dolls in the blossoms this spring, but wanted to find a tree with something other than pink crabapple blossoms. So we packed some dolls in the car and headed out to look for some. We found one along the town line. A lone apple tree at the side of the road, that blooms beautifully each spring, and has branches low enough for doll photos.
