Introducing Daisy
After a bit of struggling and redoing her bodice, Daisy's outfit was finally done...
Her eyes are rather wide-set, and seemed to fill her entire eye socket, so I replaced them with a size smaller. I also trimmed away most of the hair in front of her ears so I could see them, and gave her scissors and keys tied on cords to her waistband...

Daisy is Gino's partner....
They will be parents to the Avery twins, who are next...
the Twins
Three years after the two Averys first arrived, they are finally done. I decided to name the girl Emily.
Jan had even made Avery a teensie, tiny, wooden sword...
The twins with their whole family.
Gino and Daisy are their parents...
Phairby is Daisy's mother,
...so is the twins' Grandma...
One of these days I will make the twins little butterfly fairy costumes so they can go out flying with their Grandma...
Emily and her Teddy...

Butterfly Friends
Marianne and I are working on a new book featuring doll photos I've taken with our old art dolls over the years. So I was inspired to take a few new ones to add to the book.
Now that I have a whole group of House Elves, they would fit with some of my smaller Fantasy characters. Like my piece "Don't Bug Me!", made in 2001, which has a troll seated on a stump threatening a butterfly that's irritating him. Well, it was time for a brand new, more positive twist.
I set him up in a scene in the upper garden with Avery and Emily, and turned it into an entomology lesson instead.

...and telling them all about them....
On the March
The Elven Army was on the march.
They had a long way to go...with General Nolan leading the way.
But the smallest little armoured soldier often needed to take a rest.
He was their munitions specialist, in charge of defusing bombs, so needed extra protection to do his job, and all that heavy armour weighed him down.
..and even though the others wouldn't admit it, they appreciated the frequent rests themselves.
So it always took way longer than expected to get anywhere.
Even Winston would come and join them now and then...just to be with Saphira...
