Bianca was hanging up the last of the sheets... "Hi there..." "What are you doing here? And please watch out for the sheets. I spent the whole morning washing them!"" "I wanted to give you these..." "Picked them just for you...." "...and I wanted to ask you something...." "Would you marry me?" "Oh, yes!!"

Meanwhile, Rex had Buck all saddled up, ready to go for a ride.... ..when he noticed Bianca out hanging up the laundry... "I'll be back later, boy.....there's something I have to do right now....." "Now I just need some flowers.....fast....."
Bianca had quite the load of wash. "I wish I didn't have to go so far out here to hang it up..." "But it is a nice windy day....." "...so it should dry pretty fast...."
And we are back to Bianca in the 18th century..... She had spent the morning washing, and was headed out to hang everything up. "Sorry guys, I already fed you..." She headed out the gate.... "Looks like a good day for drying."
With Missy looking perpetually sad, I wondered what would make a little girl look so sad.... "I accidentally dropped it...."
Maybe Missy's red cheeks and nose are because she's secretly really a clown..... ...a very sad clown....
My Mini Missy, by Kaye Wiggs, arrived yesterday. I waited an entire year for her, anticipating this lovely little girl... But as owner pictures started showing up online, it was clear that the factory had gone overboard with the red shading - especially on her nose. I was horrified, disappointed, and angry, knowing the doll was not going to be as advertised. And after waiting an entire year!!
Thankfully I found out well beforehand that the doll was not going to be as advertised, so wouldn't be so shocked when she'd finally arrive. In fact I thought I'd take a series of photos highlighting what her bright red makeup suggests to me....before sending her off for a new faceup. So, first up.....'Cold' Missy. She looks like she's been playing outside in winter, and her face is red from the cold... Even though Bianca could wear the JID size gown, Rex cannot share Steve's Victorian outfit. So he was just in his 'period casual' outfit. Maybe taking a break from gardening, while his lady was all set to go out somewhere....
I have in mind two future Victorian photo ideas, one with Rex and Bianca, and the other with my Victorian family. I wondered if the two sizes of women (FID and JID) could share the same clothes, so I'd only have to make one set of new Victorian gowns. You know, 'two birds with one stone'. Then, since I had both Bianca and Isis standing in my workspace, I thought I'd try Isis' gown on Bianca to see how it would fit her. Not bad! Which of course meant taking some photos..... The skirt and sleeves were a touch short, and the jacket needed to be pinned tighter in the back, but otherwise I thought it fit pretty well. So the pattern will just need some small adjustments to make any future Victorian gowns fit both body sizes.
