But neither snow, nor sleet, hail, or rain, would prevent my Little mice from keeping their families supplied....
Monday morning after we woke to a fresh layer of snow, I went out four separate times to take photos before it melted, but by the time I took this set it was already raining quite hard.

I'm so thankful for my son and daughter-in-law who have been coming every day to spend time with me. Today Tanya suggested we could make some miniature polymer clay food for my dolls. So we spent the afternoon making fruits they would have had during medieval times, like strawberries, raspberries, pears, and blueberries, as well as a bunch of carrots. They will still need some paint touch ups, but are looking great so far.....
Some more photos I shot last week, with Bianca in the Tavern with Rex and Baron.... It could almost be a wedding.....
The first set of photos taken Monday morning....
My Kaye Wiggs girls trudging through the snow with a load of essential supplies.... I just want to thank everyone for their comments and messages of support. Over on Facebook there was well over a hundred yesterday. It means a lot to me. Things have not improved with Jan as the hospital tries to figure out exactly what is wrong with him. I wish I could be there with him, but visitors are not allowed due to the current Covid19 crisis. Talking on the phone doesn't seem possible either, since he seems to have forgotten how to use his phone. I've asked if a nurse could help him, but I can imagine they are too busy. Yesterday evening I was asked for permission to do a lumbar puncture, because they think he may have an infection in the brain. And Monday morning had started out so well too - at least for me. There was a shipping notice from Iplehouse, and there was a fresh layer of snow to be taken advantage of. I went outside four separate times to take doll photos, and Jan commented on how much energy I seemed to have. Well, one has to take advantage when one can. Then things went rapidly downhill.... I know Jan always loved looking at my photos, so have decided to just keep posting the 'Smiles for the Day', and add to the 'Toilet Paper Chronicles'. I have all the photos just sitting waiting in folders on the computer anyways, so might as well post them. If anybody can use a smile these days it's me...... So today we have Cinnamon working hard to make a birthday cake for her best friend....
and a bunch of kids having a bathtub race.... I don't normally like to talk about personal stuff here, but I have mentioned a few times the past two weeks that Jan was sick. He came down with 'Hand, Foot & Mouth disease' two weeks ago, which is a virus with nothing to be done about. A week later he developed all kinds of flu symptoms, which did not improve. In fact he seemed to get worse. Then yesterday he was so confused, we were both frightened, so I called 911, and an ambulance came to take him to the hospital. They did not allow me to come because the hospital is not allowing visitors at this time due to Covid19.
I've been on the phone with nurses and doctors through the night, and things did seem hopeful then, but this morning I received some very bad news. They have discovered, and are treating him, for three things: Pneumonia, a Neo Stroke, and a mini heart attack. And the tests for Covid 19 haven't even come back yet. I asked if he'd recover 'back to normal' and was told it was too soon to say. Then they asked for 'end of life directive'. To say I'm in shock is an understatement. One of the eggs they'd been served for dinner, had something inside trying to get out.... And..... school....is...out.....forever......
